Rula’s 2025 State of Mental Health Report: Mental Well-being in a Changing World

Key insights from our State of Mental Health Report
Mental health’s usual suspects
Anxiety and depression were the top reasons people chose to seek help, followed by stress/burnout.
Therapy works — and Gen X agrees
Millennials are the most likely to be in therapy, but over 85% of people aged 45-54 say therapy helped — big time.
No one-size-fits-all
Women journal. Men track steps. Mental health tracking looks different for everyone.
Close circles, big impact
Support starts close to home. Nearly 40% say friends and family made it easier to speak up.
What to expect in the report
It’s not just about the price
Access isn’t easy: nearly 1 in 3 have struggled to find mental health support, with men reporting more barriers to finding support than women, and young adults being least likely to trust the medical system.
The world is messy — sometimes, so are our minds
Big picture, big impact: money stress and social issues shape when we seek help. 58% say mental health has grown in importance since 2020.
